Alice Carol (Searcy) Donovan

Alice Carol Searcy Donovan, 77, of Mt. Eden, wife of Kenneth Donovan, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion in Louisville.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Robert and Emolyn Estella Gash. She was a member at Old Country Church in Mt. Eden; retired from Norton's Hospital where she worked as a Nurses Aid, and a former Wal-Mart employee.

Along with her husband she is survived by five children, Rhonda Renee (Ronnie) Smith, Silex, MO, Deborah Sue Peach, Mt. Eden, Carol Ann Reid, Donna Gale (Leslie) Bentley, both of Waddy, and Kenneth Daniel (Joyce) Donovan, Bloomfield; sister, Louise Buntain, of Shelbyville; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Donovan was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Rose Stevens, Edith Buntain, and Myrtle Martin; brother, Robert M. Searcy; son-in-law, Lonny Peach; and grandson, Billy Wilson Sanders.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 at Old Country Church in Mt. Eden with Rev. Deborah Peach and Bro. Leslie Bentley officiating. Burial will follow in Big Springs Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Gash Memorial Chapel and from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church prior to the service.

Casket bearers will be Joshua Wheeler, Andy Thuston, Kenny Ross, Nolan Walls, Kenneth Bentley, Timmy Chesser, Tommy Fawbush, and Tim Taylor. Honorary bearers will be Christy Wheeler, Julie Thuston, Ronni Beth Ross, Tera Hayden, Crystal Peach, Jordanna Reid, Tracey Chesser, and Kasey Fawbush.
