Alberta Evelyn (Chenault) Burns

Alberta Evelyn Chenault Burns, age 71, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, August 20, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Burns was born in Riverside, California to the late George Albert and Mary Evelyn VanDyke Chenault.  She was a graduate of Mercer County High School; member of Centennial Baptist Church in Harrodsburg; and former Certified Nurse Aid for Bradford Square.  Alberta was an independent soul and very nurturing mother who loved her family dearly.

She is survived by her two daughters, Evelyn (Thony Espinoza) Bruce, of White Plains, Maryland, and Pauletta Marie (Chet Glisson) Burns, of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Alpatrick (Cortasia) Burns III, Kenneth Bruce III, Jocelyn Bruce,  Rachel Bruce, Leah Bruce, and Keyaira (Ethan Ferebee) Doss; four great-grandchildren, Ava Burns, Alpatrick Burns IV, Ajae' Burns, and Keynan Ferebee; sisters, Alice (Victor) Brown, Lawrenceburg, and Veronica Rose, Cincinnati; and special friend and father of her children, Alpatrick Burns, Lawrenceburg.

She was preceded in death by her son, Alpatrick Burns II; brother, Eddie Chenault; and sister, Doris Harvey.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Gash Memorial Chapel is honored to be entrusted with final care.
